Stream your security camera on TV using a speaker or display

Check on what matters by streaming your uniform security or doorbell camera on your TV. Use a Google Nest or Home speaker or display, and Chromecast or a Tv set with Chromecast built-in.

What you lot need

  • Compatible security camera setup with the manufacturer'due south app
  • Google Nest or Habitation speaker or display

Step 1. Ready your security camera

If you have a Nest photographic camera or doorbell, discover the instructions linked in the list:

If you have another compatible camera, follow the steps provided by the device maker.

Step 2. Set up your device

If you haven't set upwards your Chromecast and speaker or display, follow the steps below. Brand sure you connect these devices to the same Wi-Fi network as your camera.

Note: The following steps are optional if you but desire to control your Television set with your mobile device or tablet. Notwithstanding, if you want to command your TV using vox commands through your speaker or brandish, follow the steps beneath.

  1. Make sure your mobile device or tablet is continued to the same Wi-Fi or linked to the same account equally your Chromecast, or speaker or display.

Say "Ok Google" or "Hey Google," then:

Start stream

"Show [camera proper noun]"

"What'southward on [photographic camera name]?"

"[Camera name] on [Chromecast device name]"

"Play [photographic camera name] on [Chromecast device name]"

"Evidence [photographic camera name] on [Chromecast device proper noun]"

Stop stream

"Stop [TV or Chromecast device proper noun]"

Fix a problem

"HA Cast" fault when streaming an Arlo camera to your Television receiver

If an "HA Cast" error bulletin appears on your Boob tube when streaming an Arlo photographic camera, try the following workaround:

  1. Turn off the move-detection recording setting on your camera.
  2. Try to stream again.
